02 · How billing works
Pay a month, use it. Go over, pay the extra next time.
- Each payment opens a new month, from that day to the same day of the next month. No proration.
- Over your plan, nothing stops. Each identification over the allowance costs $3.75 per 1,000, counted one by one, and goes into your next payment.
- Moving up takes effect when you pay: the current month closes with its overage and the new plan starts a new month. Days left on the old plan are not credited.
- Moving down takes effect at your next payment, after the current month ends.

A device identification is one production device intelligence snapshot, requested by your integration and completed. Each snapshot counts once, however many assessments, tags or reprocessings use it.

Billing questions.
Q01What is a device identification?
One production device intelligence snapshot, requested by your integration and completed. Each snapshot counts once, however many assessments, tags or reprocessings use it.
Q02Are assessments billed?
No. Assessments, customer actions and outcomes, console reads, exports and webhooks are not billed. Only completed production identifications count.
Q03What happens when I go over my plan?
Nothing stops. Each identification over your plan costs $3.75 per 1,000, counted one by one and not by started block, and goes into your next payment.
Q04How do I change plans?
Moving up takes effect when you pay: the current month closes with its overage, and the new plan starts a new month that day. The days left on the old plan are not credited. Moving down takes effect at your next payment, after the current month ends.
Q05What happens when the free trial ends?
